Building The Basics

For this week, the team has been slowly beginning to build the foundations of the game. Ranging from assets, to concepts for future assets, the progress seems to be going along well. A small prototype has been built, however it's only the building phase that has been implemented so far.

Figure Drawing

Has been discussing different "styles" for the game itself, trying to decide on one specifically. A couple of figure drawings were done just to get the feel.

Ramisha Wasim

Concept Arts (Backgrounds)

Developed some concept arts for the background as references to model in Unity later. Two types of terrains were considered and worked on as shown to the right (grass and ice).

Alexandro Di Nunzio

Shaders

Wrote code and produced more shaders for the different blocks that will exist in the game. A small video preview has been made to showcase these shaders.

Kenny Su

Prototype (Builder Phase)

As of this moment, I am working as the main programmer, developing the bare bones of the first phase (building) for the game. With a press of a button, you can point where you want to the set the block and place it there with left-click.

Assets & Coding

Provided the model for a circular saw blade, as well as coding for player movement that was borrowed from his previous game, The City of Despina. Said coding will be modified to fit into this game's coding to save time in the future.
